Here we go…
How to Get 1,000 Twitter Followers in 30 Days
To begin, you wanna make sure you have a Twitter account for your blog. I won’t go over how to sign up (it’s super easy) but you’ll head to Twitter and create your account. Once you’re done, it’s time to optimize your Twitter account.
Optimizing your Twitter Profile
Step 1.) Complete your profile fully
Make sure you have a photo uploaded, a filled-out description, and a Twitter cover.
You can see above, an example of a filled-out profile. The blog name and url is listed. A keyword-rich description is shown, along with an attractive Twitter cover.
Step 2.) Photos must be amazing
Your photos must be awesome. Your profile photo can either be your personal photo or your blog logo. Your Twitter cover background should be relevant to your blog. Both pics should be clear (not blurry) and attractive.
That’s all there is to optimization for Twitter.
Next, we tackle followers.
How to Build Up Twitter Followers Fast
The key to building up followers quickly is to follow others. If you follow folks, they will likely follow you back. I’ve found that refollows occur at a rate of 1 in 4 or 1 in 5. For every 4 or 5 follows, you will get a refollow!
Pick relevant users to your niche. This means super chefs, food influencers, and food personalities if you’re a food blogger or parenting magazines, kids/parenting bloggers and influencers if you’re a parenting/mom/kid’s blogger. Make sense?
Follow 50-100 users daily. You can do this manually or with auto-follow tools like Crowdfire. I highly recommend Crowdfire if your goal is to maximize use of your time. It takes 5 minutes a day and you’re all set. In addition to targeting followers to follow, Crowdfire also find relevant Twitter stories for you to retweet, heart, and more!
The Follow-Unfollow Method
This is what I just described. Follow others in hopes that they will follow you back. An amazing super story of a blogger Phenom that built up to 10,000 followers in just 6 months!
This works and this works well! I’ve done tons of research on this and have seen companies build up to 10K, 100K, 500K and more and a very short time.
Wanna put your Twitter-building efforts in hyper-drive?
Follow at max! What does that mean? Follow the max amount of followers Twitter allows daily, which is 1,000.
How can you possibly follow 1,000 users daily? I’ll tell you how! Use follow tools!
How to Automate Your Twitter Growth
If I had to choose between manual and auto-growth. I’m gonna go with auto-growth all the way! Here’s why?
- Your time is valuable
- Tools make it easier
- You can accomplish faster growth with the help of automation
My recommended tool: Crowdfire App
How Crowdfire Works:
First, it’s free (with an option to upgrade). You answer a short survey about your keywords, competitors, etc. Then, Crowdfire puts together prescriptions to help you grow. You check it daily at your set time and go through the prescriptions (following users, unfollowing users, retweets, etc.) That’s it! It’s so easy, you’ll love it!
Other auto-follow tools for Twitter:
Get Active on Twitter
Ok, so you’ve created your Twitter account, optimized it, follow users daily, and automate it. Next, you wanna get active on Twitter, and I recommend you do this yourself. This means hopping on Twitter and posting content.
Post your latest blog post, post a cool article you found, share your friend’s blog post, etc. I like to mix in manual posting with my automation tools I use. It’s my favorite way to use Twitter.
Do this daily. Create a routine and make sure Twitter posting and retweets are a part of it!
Another way to boost your followers fast?
Join collaborative events
What’s a collaborative event? Giveaways, contests, and other events you do with bloggers, brands, and influencers.
Giveaways are one of my favorite growth tools and how I grew to nearly 6 figure Instagram followers in 1 year!
You find these events through networking. I love to hit up Facebook groups to see what’s happening. There are actually groups dedicated to just giveaways and contests. The giveaway info is posted and you sign up! Easy as that.
With collaborative events, you come together with others and give away a super fabulous prize to one lucky entrant. To enter the giveaway, each entrant must do some type of social engagement like follow your Twitter account, retweet your tweet, repin your pin, etc.
These are great tools to build up your following but beware, they can get addictive (and costly). Plus, if you do them too frequently they lose their uniqueness and your contest engagement will likely go way down so don’t overdo it!
